The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is the competition regulator in the United Kingdom. It is a non-ministerial government department and was set up in 2013. It is responsible for strengthening business competition and preventing and reducing anti-competitive activities.
FUNERAL COSTS
Over the years we have seen the costs of funerals rise quite considerably, and far more than the cost of living.
Following an extensive investigation by the CMA into the Funeral Industry, unfortunately, a number of issues did come to light and therefore a CMA ORDER was then issued for our Profession.
The order has made it a LEGAL requirement to publish a STANDARDISED PRICE LIST as well as additional information both on the website and in any premises that we have for anyone to see or take away.
This will allow the bereaved to easily compare like for like prices from both small and Larger Companies, thus hopefully making things less daunting for them.
